We've been real busy this last month organising, shipping, and prepping production for the arrival of the last components of Multi Drive!
Steely Eyed
Production is wrapping up on a lot of the main components. We had a slight delay to production as a batch of Stainless Steel Multi Drive handles were polished incorrectly that resulted in an odd looking finish, but it had a simple fix of sending them back for a second round of polishing. That's all resolved now and they're back on track.
Whoa hang on, it's shipping early?!
Without getting everyone too excited, we are pleased to be able to say we are now officially ahead of schedule! It’s always been a goal of ours to get a campaign done ahead of when we originally said, but it has never quite worked out due to one problem or another.
But before we get ahead of ourselves we have a lot of work to do! There will be an update with all of the details when we start shipping and we'll be doing it the same as we did our last campaign, that is in order of backer number, so if you ordered first you will be the first to be shipped.
We will send a full schedule in the next update with all the details but we expect it to take 5 weeks from when we begin.
A Sticky Situation
You may have noticed the Multi Drive has quite a few bits in it, which has meant a lot of add-ons, and I mean a lot! This campaign we've had to manage more components and variants than ever before, 88,836 to be exact. In November's update we mentioned the stickers we had made, and the good news is all the bits are here to sticker up, and so the stickering begins. In all honesty this one isn’t too bad, as it's only a 6-hour job to get them all done. Comparatively a short time compared to all the other prep!
Driving Home For Christmas
Just a little note to pop in as a few people asked about having something to give for those who'd purchased a Multi Drive as a Christmas present! We did a similar thing last year and I know quite a lot of people used it, so here you are; a friendly little print out that can go in a card!
